THINGS TO DO
Spend your days on Lac Vieux Desert fishing for musky, walleye or panfish, paddling the shoreline in your free canoe, or building sandcastles on the sandy beach. Nearby rental services make it easy to arrange pontoon cruises, ski boats and other watercraft.
When you’re ready to explore, hop on an ATV/UTV or snowmobile and ride directly from the cabin onto miles of scenic trails that wind through the Nicolet National Forest. In winter, cross‑country ski or snowshoe along groomed trails and return home to watch the sunset over the frozen lake.
Take a drive into the friendly town of Phelps or nearby communities for local dining, small shops and seasonal events. Hike or bike along more than 30 miles of silent‑sport trails, enjoy bird‑watching and wildlife sightings, and soak in the colorful foliage each autumn.
