Hidden Forest Retreat is a unique Wisconsin vacation cabin situated on 70 private acres with a private swimming pond, a hot tub, and plenty of quiet woodlands to explore. This luxury northern lodge is open year-round for remote adventures in the sun, snow, and vibrant colors.
The quarter-mile private drive through wooded grounds invites you to leave your troubles to the outside world and relax into the peace and quiet of Hidden Forest Retreat in New Lisbon, WI. With the property’s lush greenery and small stream, it’s not unusual for you to share your front yard with deer or wild turkey. You’ll also have an excellent nighttime view of the stars!
Escape from city life and unwind in a Northwoods-style log cabin with three bedrooms, two full baths and large living spaces with huge picture windows, cozy chairs and modern appliances.
Sleeping arrangements: The master suite is located on the upper level with a King-sized bed and a sofa sleeper. On the main level two bedrooms are furnished with a queen and twin in one and a single bed and Twin over Full bunk
In the interest of providing you with everything you need for a memorable Wisconsin vacation — without ever having to leave the property — Hidden Forest Retreat is packed with amenities that go above and beyond your expectations. We provide two kayaks for use on the pond or stream, as well as a paddle boat. There is a sandy beach area right by the cabin, perfect for swimming, sunning, floating or building sand castles. There is also a gas grill, two picnic tables, an extra refrigerator on the porch, a fire pit and lawn chairs, a horseshoe pit and a five-person hot tub.
You’ll love all the outdoor activities you can get up to from our scenic, private clearing at Hidden Forest Retreat. Take off on a quiet exploration of the acreage along miles of winding wooded trails. Our screen porch and lounge areas make the perfect evening hang out spot for grilling out, playing cards, enjoying the country air — and avoiding any seasonal bugs.
When you’re not enjoying the pond, stream, yard and trails, this remote cabin is equipped with high-speed wireless internet, a Roku TV and streaming services for family movie time.
If you do venture out from your Hidden Forest Retreat, you’ll find yourself just a few miles from the Buckhorn Bridge boat landing on Castle Rock Lake, where you can park multiple vehicles and trailers, rent boats or other sporting equipment, and easily access the water.
The cabin is also close to the Juneau County snowmobile and ATV trails, which pass right by our property. Local bars, restaurants and shopping are just 10 minutes away by car.

Hidden Forest Retreat
The minimum age of the primary renter is 25 years.
Fireworks are not permitted on the property at any time.
Cancellations made 30 days prior to the arrival date will receive a full refund.
The stay was so peaceful and relaxing. It was a nice place to get the family together and have fun. The pond and hot tub were big hits for all. We spent 2 nights sitting around the fire pit and catching up with each other.
This was a great place to relax and avoid people! The hot tub was what sold it for me - and I made good use of it over the weekend.
Beautiful home located on a personal mini-lake. Lots of water time, then into the large outdoor hot tub before singing songs by the fire pit. The kids loved climbing the ladder to the extra room at the peak and sleeping together on the mattresses. Clean, new, well maintained - and totally secluded so the kids could yell as loud as they wanted - but still close enough to get to the Dells when we wanted to. Definitely plan to come back!
Our families absolutely loved staying at the cabin. From the moment we walked in, the kids absolutely loved having the freedom to go from the pond to throwing the football around. The adults enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while the kids played. We had plenty of space to explore, sit by the bonfire and enjoy some quiet time.
Great secluded cabin, everything as advertised, clean, great place for a family! Will return!
