Lake Camelot House is a roomy lakefront vacation home in Nekoosa with the kind of personality guests remember: custom-built with a subtle boat-house spirit, wrapped in water views, and set up for families who would rather gather around a dock than a hotel lobby. With 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and space for up to 12 guests, this bi-level retreat gives your crew room to spread out without drifting out of vacation mode.
Inside, the main living area is bright and comfortable, with big lake-facing windows, a fully stocked kitchen, a large dining table, central air, WiFi, smart TV, board games, toys, and a lower-level family room made for movie nights and post-lake storytelling. Sleeping arrangements include a queen bedroom with balcony access, a full bedroom, two bunk beds, two twin beds, and a queen sleeper sofa in the lower-level family room.
Outside is where the cabin crowd really starts nodding: private dock, small sandy shoreline, kayaks, pedal boat, outdoor seating, grill, and a lakeside fire pit for marshmallow diplomacy. Bring your boat, fish from the dock, paddle before breakfast, or let Lake Camelot decide the schedule. Book direct when you are ready, skip the extra runaround, and keep more of the vacation budget for bait, snacks, and one more round of s'mores.
This is not a cookie-cutter rental dropped near the water and called a lake house. Lake Camelot House has vintage character, a playful boat-inspired design, and lake views from many of the spaces guests naturally gather in. The layout works especially well for multi-generation families: one bedroom is near the main-level living area, the upper level has the primary bedroom and kid-friendly sleeping rooms, and the lower level gives everyone a second hangout zone.
The lakefront setup is the star. Guests get a private dock, a gentle sandy edge for splashing, included kayaks and a pedal boat, plus a fire pit close enough to the water that sunset can do most of the talking. There is even a workspace nook if someone insists on checking email, though we cannot promise the lake will respect office hours.
Start at the property and your day is already full. Swim from the sandy shoreline, paddle Lake Camelot by kayak or pedal boat, fish from the dock, launch into a boating day, or claim a chair by the fire pit for the evening shift. The large dining table is ready for cards, board games, and the serious family business of deciding who is in charge of coffee tomorrow.
Golfers are in a great Rome-area pocket. Sand Valley Golf Resort and Lake Arrowhead Golf Course are nearby, along with a public golf simulator building for days when the weather has opinions. Lake Camelot also keeps boaters, anglers, paddlers, and sunset watchers close to the main event.
Head into the Rome area for restaurants, small shops, mini golf, a local bakery, a meat market, and the Rome Town Square Farmers Market during its May through October season. It is an easy base for a classic central Wisconsin lake getaway: water in the morning, golf or exploring in the afternoon, and a campfire at night.
Because this is a book-direct-friendly listing, guests can compare dates, confirm current pricing, and reserve directly with the manager instead of wandering through the maze of third-party fees. Around here, the only maze we prefer is finding the last clean fork after a big cabin breakfast.
