Welcome to Tremolo Shores, a five-bedroom log cabin on Clear Lake near Tomahawk, Wisconsin. This year-round vacation home sits on two acres with 185 feet of private shoreline and offers accommodations for up to 12 guests. You’ll have panoramic lake views, a sloping sand-bottomed beach for swimming and wading, and direct access to the water for fishing and kayaking. Winter guests have direct access to the lake and snowmobilers can take the connector trail to the Hiawatha/Bearskin trail and access both Oneida County and Lincoln County snowmobile trail systems from the yard. No ditch riding required! Parking is plentiful for trucks, trailers and snowmobiles.
The cabin’s open-concept living room and dining area feature a wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Clear Lake. The main level has new appliances, flooring and furniture, and the fully stocked kitchen includes everything from a dishwasher to a blender and coffee maker. Four queen bedrooms, room with 2XL twins, futon, lower-level rec room and arcade machine ensure space and fun for every member of your group.
Step outside to enjoy a large yard with a fire pit, play set, two acres of lawn and an uncovered deck overlooking the water. The private pier is a great place to cast a line or launch the complimentary kayaks, paddleboat and swim mat.

Tremolo Shores truly lives up to its name: the property is surrounded by the calls of loons, and you’ll often hear the tremolo laugh drifting across Clear Lake. Guests can rent our 22‑foot pontoon boat (book in advance) to cruise the lake; the boat seats 13 people, and the 2025 rate is $200/day. A separate rental agreement and safety briefing are required, and skiing or tubing behind the boat is prohibited.
Upgraded in 2023, the cabin features a newly finished lower level with three bedrooms, a bathroom and a rec room stocked with board games, books, an arcade machine and a ping‑pong table. An EV charger, garage parking and free Wi‑Fi make modern living easy. We provide linens, towels, firewood, toiletries and a starter supply of coffee and spices, so you can arrive and immediately relax by the lake.

Clear Lake is a 259‑acre fully recreational lake with pan fish and other game fish. Spend your days fishing from the pier or exploring the water by kayak or paddleboat. The sand‑bottomed shoreline is ideal for building sandcastles, swimming or floating on the swim mat.
Cyclists will love the nearby Hiawatha/Bearskin Trail, which connects to the property via a short ride around the lake. Hike or bike through pine forests, and in winter use the same trail as part of the snowmobile network that leads all the way to Lake Nokomis and the Northwoods Passage. When snow falls, you can also enjoy ice fishing right outside your door and sledding down gentle hills on the property.

Weekly rates range from roughly $3,493 to $4,543. Rates include cleaning, amenities and service fees; local taxes of 5.5% are additional. A 2-night minimum stay is typical in spring and fall; weekly rentals are preferred during prime summer weeks. The pontoon boat can be rented for $175 per day with a signed rental agreement and safety briefing. There is a discount on the Pontoon boat for weekly guests. We had 5 adults stay at Tremolo Shores the first weekend in October. Everything was absolutely perfect! The home is in top condition, and in an absolutely perfect location. The setting on Clear Lake was stunning, especially with the leaves beginning to change color. The home was perfectly appointed with everything we could possibly need from S'mores ingredients, to coffee, to all appliances and utensils we could possibly need. The beds were extremely comfortable and we got the best sleep! We did rent the pontoon boat which started up perfectly and ran like a dream. We took morning boat rides and sunset cruises! Staying at Tremolo Shores was a week of awesome memories for my cousin and our children and grandchildren. From the moment we walked in the door, we enjoyed the huge great room space on the main level, the gift basket, the huge deck and view of the lake. Every detail that Jill and Brett took to make the stay a success was amazing. All the bedrooms were spacious, the beds and bedding comfortable and top quality. All of us enjoy a good well-stocked kitchen with appliances and the proper gadgets for cooking and baking. Even though we packed some of our own favorites from home, we never needed them. They were already there. The kitchen provided great storage for a vacation week of kitchen supplies for 12, and the extra refrigerator/freezer in the garage was a plus. The pontoon, dock and lake was amazing. The lily pad, paddle boat, kayaks and paddle boards supplied plenty of entertainment for all of us. For those who liked to fish, even fishing from the dock was great. The fire pit and chairs, as well as the play structure for our grandchildren provided great times as well.
