Welcome to Tremolo Shores, a five-bedroom log cabin on Clear Lake near Tomahawk, Wisconsin. This year-round vacation home sits on two acres with 185 feet of private shoreline and offers accommodations for up to 12 guests. You’ll have panoramic lake views, a sloping sand-bottomed beach for swimming and wading, and direct access to the water for fishing and kayaking.

The cabin’s open-concept living room and dining area feature a wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Clear Lake. The main level has new appliances, flooring and furniture, and the fully stocked kitchen includes everything from a dishwasher to a blender and coffee maker. Four queen bedrooms and a lower-level rec room with futon and arcade machine ensure space and fun for every member of your group.

Step outside to enjoy a large yard with a fire pit, play set, two acres of lawn and an uncovered deck overlooking the water. The private pier is a great place to cast a line or launch the complimentary kayaks, paddleboat and swim mat. In winter, you can sled across the yard onto the snowmobile trail that connects to the 51/Hiawatha/Bearskin network. Parking is plentiful for trucks, trailers and snowmobiles.

Unique Features

Tremolo Shores truly lives up to its name: the property is surrounded by the calls of loons, and you’ll often hear the tremolo laugh drifting across Clear Lake. Guests can rent our 22‑foot pontoon boat (book in advance) to cruise the lake; the boat seats 13 people, and the 2025 rate is $175/day. A separate rental agreement and safety briefing are required, and skiing or tubing behind the boat is prohibited.

Upgraded in 2023, the cabin features a newly finished lower level with three bedrooms, a bathroom and a rec room stocked with board games, books, an arcade machine and a ping‑pong table. An EV charger, garage parking and free Wi‑Fi make modern living easy. We provide linens, towels, firewood, toiletries and a starter supply of coffee and spices, so you can arrive and immediately relax by the lake.

Things To Do

Clear Lake is a 259‑acre fully recreational lake with pan fish and other game fish. Spend your days fishing from the pier or exploring the water by kayak or paddleboat. The sand‑bottomed shoreline is ideal for building sandcastles, swimming or floating on the swim mat.

Cyclists will love the nearby Hiawatha/Bearskin Trail, which connects to the property via a short ride around the lake. Hike or bike through pine forests, and in winter use the same trail as part of the snowmobile network that leads all the way to Lake Nokomis and the Northwoods Passage. When snow falls, you can also enjoy ice fishing right outside your door and sledding down gentle hills on the property.

Tomahawk’s historic downtown is just 10 minutes away, offering shops, restaurants and attractions. Grab a bite at local favorites like Billy Bob’s, Tilted Loon or Silver Birch after a day on the water. For essentials, Kracker Barrel BP gas station is only 1.36 miles from the cabin.

Explore other Northwoods attractions within easy reach: Lake Mohawksin and downtown Tomahawk are about 5.6 miles away, and you can take a short drive to Lake Nokomis or Bessie’s on Clear Lake for a classic Wisconsin supper club experience. Please note this cabin is located on a federal highway and some road noise can be heard throughout the day. Also, there is an active train route in the area, so train horns can be heard in the distance when it's quiet.
